REGIMENTAL DINNER FOR MAJ (RETD) ANDY ANDERSON
Dear All,
I am trying to arrange a farewell dinner night in the form of a Regimental Dinner for Maj (Ret'd) Andy Anderson who is leaving the Postie family after 50 years man and boy.
It is intended to hold the dinner in the Sgt’s mess in Rheindahlen early August (exact date to be confirmed once numbers are known). This may also be the ideal opportunity for a lot of old posties to say goodbye to Rhiendahlen Military Complex as it is due to close very soon. The event will be open to all posties past and present, unfortunately, because it is being held in the Sgt’s mess it will only be open to those still serving or who left the Army at the rank of Sgt or above.
All non-military attendees will be asked to pay the cost of the dinner on the evening and all attendees will be responsible for booking their own accommodation in their respective messes or if civilian in Cassels House or local hotel/boarding house. I speak the language and I will be happy to help with bookings.
I need numbers to go ahead and book the mess so please let me know of your intention to attend (or not) as soon as possible.
Kind Regards

The BFPO Mess in Mill Hill closed in November 2007. Property has since been widely disposed of. In 2011 on commencement of his appointment WO1 (RSM) JA Crilley, was asked what was to become of the remaining 4 boxes. The RE/RLC Museum Curators are going to see him but he is trying to locate the following people to hand back their presentation pieces:
Sgt Lovett memorial picture presented by Mrs V Lavey - possibly a relation to Cyril Lacey
4 Candelabra presentedn by WO1 Manning - possibly Geoffrey Manning
Jimmy Statue presented by WO1 Morris - possibly Paul Morris
Coffee Set presented by WO1 Scott - possibly Howard Scott
If your name is on the list or somebody knows the contact details of the above, please can you contact WO1 (RSM) JA Crilley at the folowing address:
